SHAVASAN( Corpse posture)

          SHAVASAN( Corpse posture) 


    This is a relaxation posture. This asan removes the fatigue caused by the other asanas and induces calmness of the mind. Steady, smooth and deep breathing without jerks of the body smoothens nerves and calms the mind.

How to do:

1. Lie flat on the back like a corpse. place the hands a little away from the thighs with palms up.

2. place the feet apart such that both the heels face inwards and toes outwards.

3. Relax the body completely part by part with awareness  of the breath and closed eyes. 

Makarasan (Crocodile posture)

       This posture is also a relaxation posture which reduces tension, B. P, Spondylisis. This removes the fatigue caused by the other asanas and calms the mind. 


How to do:


1. Lie completely full length on stomach with the face downward in a soft blanket. 

2.Place the feet about a foot apart so that the both heelsface inward and toes outward. 

3. Bend both the hands front and place the right palm on the left palm. 

  • 4. Now  place the cheeks on the palms and relax in that position with closed eyes.
